The Tester’s Notebook

The Tester’s Notebook is where I write about the practice of software testing.

It began as a simple idea: testing work produces notes — observations, questions, artifacts, and judgments that don’t always fit neatly into tickets or reports. A notebook is where thinking takes shape before it becomes formal.

This writing reflects that space.

I write about:

  • Hands-on testing practice

  • Risk and judgment

  • The role of artifacts in learning

  • Leadership and mentorship in quality work

  • The habits that sustain good testing over time

The focus is not on tools or trends. It is on thinking.

Over time, the notebook has become a place to explore how testers learn, adapt, and make sense of complex systems. Some entries are practical. Some are reflective. All are grounded in real work.
